INVO Fertility, a healthcare fertility company

INVO Fertility, Inc., which is a healthcare fertility company that is focused on the establishment and acquisition as well as the operation of fertility clinics and also related businesses along with technologies, announced on November 28, 2025, its intent to go ahead and acquire Family Beginnings, P.C., which is a well-respected fertility clinic that serves patients throughout Indiana as well as the broader Midwest. The plan to acquire Family Beginnings goes on to mark the second acquisition by INVO after its purchase of Wisconsin Fertility Institute in 2023 and also reflects the multi-pronged strategic initiative of the company so as to build a countrywide network of fertility centers that are capable of reaching the underserved markets and also meeting the growing demand of patients.

According to the CEO of INVO, Steve Shum, Family Beginnings has long been recognized due to its exceptional standards when it comes to care, and they are indeed quite thrilled to welcome Dr. James Donahue as well as his talented team into the INVO family. From their earliest conversations, it was indeed very clear that they go on to share a common philosophy, which is centered on compassionate and patient-first treatment. Equally as exciting remains the fact that Dr. Donahue was an early adopter and still remains a very ardent advocate of their innovative INVOcell technology. Their intravaginal culture – IVC solution is well integrated in his practice and is one of the many treatment options that are offered to patients. Partnering with Dr. Donahue as well as the Family Beginnings team is a significant step in pursuit of their strategic growth push, and they look forward to supporting this continued success as they go on to expand their presence throughout the Midwest.

Family Beginnings, which was founded in the late 1990s, went on to serve thousands of patients throughout Indiana as well as surrounding states. Known due to its customized care model as well as pretty robust success rates, the clinic provides a full suite of reproductive services, which includes:

  • In vitro fertilization - IVF
  • INVOcell - IVC
  • Intrauterine insemination - IUI
  • Third-party reproduction services
  • Fertility preservation
  • Advanced diagnostic testing and
  • Comprehensive patient education as well as support programs

As per Family Beginnings’ James Donahue, M.D., HCLD, and founder, they are very excited to join forces with INVO Fertility and that their respective teams share a very deep commitment so as to help the individuals as well as their families attain their dreams of parenthood. Through partnering with INVO, they are surely going to be able to broaden their offerings, introduce a new and innovative set of treatment options, and make sure of even more patients benefiting from the high level of care that they have always provided. This partnership, he says, marks the start of an exciting new chapter when it comes to their clinic and patients.

Because of this acquisition, INVO plans to upgrade the Family Beginnings clinic by way of:

  • Introducing some broader treatment choices
  • Investing within the clinic infrastructure as well as technology, enhancing the workflow efficiencies
  • Integrating the digital patient engagement tools so as to have streamlined communication and care coordination and
  • Making utmost use of the national network of INVO in order to provide patients with much wider access in terms of resources, support programs as well as clinical expertise.

Shum says that this acquisition is certainly a natural fit with their mission to go ahead and make fertility care much more accessible and also patient-centered. According to him, strategic acquisitions such as this are a core component when it comes to their growth plan, since they enable them to speed up the expansion while at the same time integrating the proven teams along with clinical infrastructure. Having implemented a term sheet with Dr. Donahue more than a month ago, they are well in sync with completing the final agreements and also anticipate closing the transaction in the near future.

Notably, this acquisition remains subject to the completion of customary due diligence through INVO and the negotiation as well as entry into definitive purchase agreements between INVO and Family Beginnings. The definitive agreements are also anticipated to have in them the closing conditions, customary covenants, any needed regulatory approvals, indemnification provisions, and termination rights. There can also be no assurances that INVO is going to enter into a definitive agreement or even complete the acquisition for that matter.
