Alpha Controls Named Third-Party Calibration Partner for FertiTech Canada’s Nilotech Temperature Probes

Alpha Controls & Instrumentation Inc. has announced a new partnership with FertiTech Canada Inc., under which Alpha Controls has been selected as the company’s designated third-party calibration provider for Nilotech temperature probes used in IVF laboratories and fertility clinics across Canada.

The agreement formalises a clear division of responsibility between the two organisations. FertiTech Canada will continue to provide customers with Nilotech equipment, technical support, and in-house gas sensor calibration. Customers requiring calibration services for their Nilotech temperature probes will be directed to Alpha Controls a Canadian, family-owned instrumentation and calibration company with more than 45 years of industry experience and ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration through A2LA.

What the Partnership Means in Practice

For IVF laboratories and fertility clinics in Canada, temperature accuracy is not a peripheral concern, it is a foundational requirement of laboratory quality and patient safety. The precise thermal environments maintained by incubators, warming stages, and cryogenic equipment directly affect the conditions in which gametes and embryos are handled and stored. Calibration of temperature probes against traceable, documented standards is a critical part of maintaining that accuracy.

Under the new arrangement, Alpha Controls becomes the specialist calibration resource for customers using Nilotech temperature probes distributed by FertiTech. The partnership gives those customers access to professional, accredited calibration services without requiring FertiTech to build that capability in-house, a model that reflects Alpha Controls’ growing role as a trusted third-party calibration partner for manufacturers and technology providers serving regulated markets.

Marc Brand, VP of Sales & Service at Alpha Controls & Instrumentation, described what the selection represents:

“We’re incredibly proud to be trusted by FertiTech to support their customers. When another company trusts you to look after their customers, that’s a pretty meaningful endorsement. It speaks to the confidence they have in our technical expertise, our people, and the level of service we provide.”
