Aksigen IVF has launched India’s first Immersive IVF Knowledge Centre with the opening of the Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre in Andheri East, Mumbai. The initiative is designed to address gaps in fertility awareness and improve how patients understand and navigate IVF treatment.

As IVF adoption increases across India, treatment decisions often involve complex medical information and emotional stress. Despite this, structured patient education has remained limited. The new Immersive IVF Knowledge Centre aims to bridge that gap by offering clear, science-backed explanations in a private and supportive setting.

Visitors explore the centre as a series of interconnected zones, engaging with bespoke installations and digital experiences. Led by Aksigen’s patient care experts, they discover how reproductive science works, understand common fertility conditions and are guided through IVF treatment journeys. Content is expertly curated to be reassuringly accurate, easy to understand and highly respectful of patient privacy and dignity.

Through a balance of immersive technologies and human-centred design, the centre unpicks fears around IVF and replaces misconceptions with understanding and confidence to make informed choices about their care.

Expressing his optimism on the launch, Dr. Gautam Daftary, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Aksigen IVF, stated, “The Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre reflects our deep commitment to putting patients first. Fertility journeys can be emotionally and medically complex, and this centre has been created to simplify science, address fears, and empower individuals with the right information to make confident, informed choices.”

Highlighting the clinical relevance of the initiative, Dr. Shirish Daftary, ex Dean, Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital and Member, Scientific Advisory Board, Aksigen IVF said, “In fertility care, informed patients are better prepared patients. This Knowledge Centre allows us to explain complex medical concepts in a clear, visual, and reassuring manner, helping patients understand their condition, treatment options, and what to expect from their IVF journey. It enhances transparency and strengthens trust and enables more meaningful doctor–patient conversations.”

The Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre comprises an Aksigen Legacy Zone detailing our history in reproductive medicine, an Immersive Education Zone with interactive digital content and curated storytelling experiences, as well as a Personalised Science Zone visually depicting patient journeys for specific fertility conditions. We’ve also enabled a 360-degree visual reproduction of the IVF journey for people to experience the process step-by-step using virtual reality.

Incorporating education into fertility treatment plans helps demystify the experience, minimises stress and fosters greater doctor–patient relationships. Launching the Knowledge Centre is part of our ongoing commitment to elevating transparency, evidence-led patient care and empowered choice as India’s fertility industry advances.
