About This Event

The 8th World Congress on Recurrent Pregnancy Loss brings the global RPL community to The Hague Conference Centre in The Hague, the Netherlands. Presided over by Prof. Asher Bashiri with Dr Marie-Louise van der Hoorn as co-chair, WCRPL 2027 gathers clinicians, researchers, embryologists, geneticists, midwives, psychologists, counsellors, and patient representatives around a single condition that cuts across genetics, immunology, endocrinology, imaging, and mental health.

The congress is deliberately practical in format. Lectures from leading experts sit alongside original research presentations, interactive workshops, and case-based sessions followed by in-depth audience discussion. Hands-on workshops cover performing and interpreting 3D ultrasound, applying genetics in clinical practice, and basic hysteroscopy techniques, giving delegates skills they can use immediately.

A defining feature of the 2027 programme is its willingness to tackle unsettled questions head-on. Sessions examine when surgical correction of a uterine septum is justified, whether statins improve pregnancy outcomes, how to interpret non-criteria antiphospholipid syndrome, and where recurrent implantation failure diverges from recurrent pregnancy loss. Updates to the ESHRE Guideline on Recurrent Pregnancy Loss and new recommendations from Canada and the RCOG anchor these debates.

Themes span genetics and translational science, immunology and placental biology, endocrine and lifestyle factors, imaging innovations, uterine factors, assisted reproduction, and psychological care and patient support. With that breadth, WCRPL 2027 offers a rare forum where basic science, clinical practice, and patient experience meet in one room.
