About This Event
The SRI 2027 Annual Meeting is the 74th annual gathering of the Society for Reproductive Investigation, held at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, Scotland. It brings together reproductive scientists, clinician-researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees from around the world for five days focused on the basic science underpinning reproductive health. The meeting is led by SRI President Dino Giussani of the University of Cambridge and 2027 Program Director Helen Jones.
This is a research meeting first, and its structure reflects that. Three poster sessions run alongside four blocks of concurrent oral presentations and two sets of concurrent mini-symposia. Only 15% of accepted abstracts are selected for oral presentation, after peer review by four to six expert reviewers. Career development is built into the week through a Lunch and Learn, an Early Career Forum, ticketed Connection Corners, and the President's New Investigator Plenary.
The meeting opens with a full day of five satellite meetings on March 17, covering fetal physiology, placenta, endometrium, ovarian biology, and a joint myometrium, parturition, and PREBIC session. The President's Distinguished Lectures feature Sir Stephen O'Rahilly of the University of Cambridge on GDF15 and nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, and Qi Chen of the University of Utah on the sperm RNA code and paternal epigenetic inheritance.
The speaker list spans Karolinska Institutet, Max Planck, King's College London, Imperial College London, Massachusetts General Hospital, and institutions across Chile, Spain, and Australia. Alongside the March of Dimes Prize lecture and awards ceremonies, the SRI 2027 Annual Meeting remains a leading forum for advancing reproductive science.
