European Fall School on Infertility 2026

The European Fall School on Infertility 2026 is an intensive, one-week training program organized by the Women's and Couples' Health (PEPR-SAFE) research program under France 2030. Now in its second edition, the fall school takes place at Les Salons de la Plume in Nantes, France. It brings together young researchers and medical doctors from France and across Europe to build cutting-edge knowledge on infertility alongside leading scientists, clinicians, and professionals.

Unlike a conventional conference, this Infertility Fall School is immersive and selective. Participants are chosen through an application process and commit to attending the full week. Expert lectures are combined with small-group work, including a session on designing a research program. The week also includes a round table, career testimonials, a virtual lab visit, and informal social gatherings, all of which encourage multidisciplinary exchange and lasting professional networks.

A key strength of the 2026 program is its step-by-step structure. Infertility is explored from oocyte and sperm gametogenesis through embryo development and implantation to fertility preservation and in vitro gametogenesis. Faculty from institutions such as Newcastle University, Imperial College London, Leiden University, University College London, and the Babraham Institute share the stage with innovators from fertility start-ups and representatives of patient associations.

Sessions also span environmental and genetic factors, assisted reproductive technologies, gender bias, access to ART, and the ethics and law of future conception methods. Through that range, the European Fall School on Infertility 2026 is helping shape the next generation of reproductive health researchers in Europe.
