About This Event

The 34th World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility is the only congress built entirely around the unresolved questions in the field. It takes place at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre in Athens, Greece. The COGI Congress brings together gynecologists, obstetricians, IVF specialists, embryologists, perinatologists, nurses, residents, and researchers from more than 80 countries. Rather than settling on consensus, it examines the disagreements clinicians face in daily practice.

The format is what distinguishes it. The scientific program is built around structured debates, focused discussions, and interactive sessions, with generous discussion time after each lecture for speaker-audience exchange. This gives delegates room to challenge evidence, weigh competing approaches, and take practical judgment back to their own clinics rather than simply absorbing conclusions.

The 2026 edition follows a strong showing in Rome, which drew over 1,800 delegates from more than 80 countries. It is chaired by an international panel including Zion Ben Rafael, Basil Tarlatzis, Bart C.J.M. Fauser, Anja Pinborg, Rita Vassena, and Laura Rienzi, with more than 105 international speakers on the faculty. A keynote lecture in honour of Nobel Prize laureate Robert G. Edwards anchors the program, and a Young Scientist Best Abstract Award supports emerging researchers.

Topics span PCOS, ovarian stimulation, PGT-A, IVF add-ons, embryo transfer, fertility preservation, endometriosis, male infertility, menopause and HRT, prenatal diagnosis, preterm labour, and intrapartum care. Through that breadth, the COGI Congress continues to shape clinical thinking across obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine worldwide.
